Pay in 30 days with Billie: the guide to getting approved

Paying in 30 days with Billie lets you order today and pay 30 days later, with no cash advance. Billie makes its decision in a few seconds, based on precise data about your company. Here is, in plain words, what Billie checks, why a payment can be declined, and the checklist that gets your request approved the first time.
How Billie decides
When you choose "Pay in 30 days on invoice (Billie)", Billie pays LCD-Phone immediately and carries the payment term alone. Before accepting, Billie does three things, in real time:
- Identify your company in the official registers: registration number (SIREN/SIRET in France), legal name, registered address.
- Assess the risk from company data (age, declared employees, published accounts), your payment history with Billie, the order amount and information from credit agencies. Each company is given a credit limit.
- Set up the direct debit: your company's IBAN and a SEPA mandate, to collect the amount on the due date.
What changed in September 2026: LCD-Phone now sends Billie your company's official identity itself — registered legal name and address, SIREN, VAT number — together with the details of your order. We use the national register's details when they match those on your account; otherwise we send yours as they stand. There is almost nothing left to type on Billie's page… provided the information in your LCD-Phone account is accurate. That is where everything is decided.
On LCD-Phone: five minutes in "Your account"
Everything starts from your LCD-Phone account: this is the information we send to Billie. Two screens to check, once and for all.
1. "Your account → Information": complete your company profile
In Your personal information, fill in the Company, Siret and Intra-community VAT fields, attach your Kbis (company registration extract), then click Save.
New since 8 September 2026: these fields can be edited at any time. If you made a mistake, correct it and save again, as many times as needed. Until now a field that already held a value was locked, and a typing error was permanent. That is no longer the case.
We check your number when you save. Your SIREN is matched against the French national business register and we tell you straight away if it corresponds to no active company. A VAT number whose check digits are wrong is rejected on the spot, before it costs you a decline at Billie.
The Kbis is no longer required in order to save an existing profile: you can correct your identifiers right away. Do attach it as soon as you can, it remains necessary for your business account.
The VAT number (or the SIRET) is what makes the "Pay in 30 days" option appear at checkout: without it, the option is not shown. Check it character by character. A French VAT number is made of FR, a 2-digit key and your 9-digit SIREN: one wrong key or two swapped digits, and Billie simply cannot find your company. If in doubt, check your SIREN on annuaire-entreprises.data.gouv.fr, the official site. Companies outside France: use your national company registration number and your intra-community VAT number.
2. "Company": the exact legal name, not a trade name
Enter your company's legal name, exactly as it appears on your Kbis or INSEE registration notice. A trade name is accepted if it is registered (it then appears in the register), but not an invented name, nor the manager's first name instead of the company.
Sole traders, auto-entrepreneurs, micro-entreprises: your legal name is you. Enter your first and last name (you may add your trade name) with your SIREN. This is how Billie identifies self-employed buyers — it is Billie's own recommendation.
3. "Your account → Addresses": billing address = registered address
Billie compares your address with the register. Your billing address must be that of your registered office or of a declared establishment, with your legal name — since 8 September 2026 that name is copied automatically onto any of your addresses that had none, when you save your profile. Have you moved? File the transfer with the register first (INPI one-stop shop): as long as the register shows the old address, the new one is seen as an inconsistency. Addresses cannot be edited in self-service on LCD-Phone, and the address form currently has neither a Company field nor a VAT field. To correct yours or add one, write to us on the chat stating the exact legal name and the VAT number to put on the address: the request goes to the authorised team and is handled within one working day. At checkout, make sure you select this address as your billing address.
4. An established company with declared employees
Since 15 September 2026, the "Pay in 30 days" option only appears for companies whose national register (INSEE) declares at least one employee. This is what our first weeks with Billie taught us: the companies Billie accepted all employ staff, while businesses with no declared employee, sole traders and micro-enterprises included, were all declined. Rather than let you face a decline, we offer the option only to the profiles Billie finances.
A company that has been struck off cannot be financed. Annual accounts filed with the court registry give credit agencies something to assess you on. If you hired recently, the headcount band in the register can take several months to catch up: the option will appear as soon as it is updated.
5. Consistent contact details: e-mail and phone
For Billie, the e-mail address is one criterion among others: an address in your company's name helps link the person ordering to the company, but it is not what decides. At LCD-Phone, companies ordering with a gmail or yahoo address have been accepted and others, with a company address, declined: the company profile comes first (point 4).
- One address everywhere: the one on your LCD-Phone account, the one entered on Billie's page and the one on your business documents should be identical.
- If you have an address in your company's name, use it rather than a personal address.
Add a reachable phone number, preferably the company line. You can change your e-mail address yourself in "Your account → Information".
On Billie's page: two minutes, three steps
- Confirm your company (pre-filled by LCD-Phone).
- Enter your company's IBAN: a business account in the company's name, never the manager's personal account.
- Validate the SEPA direct debit mandate through to the last screen. Without a validated mandate, the order is not completed.
Why a payment is declined, and what you can do
Billie does not disclose the reason for a decline, neither to you nor to LCD-Phone: we cannot "force" an approval. But its decline reasons are known, and most of them are in your hands.
| Reason | What it means | Your lever |
|---|---|---|
| Company not identified | Wrong or non-existent SIREN / VAT number, or company not found | Correct the number in "Your account → Information" (point 1): the fields are editable and checked against the register |
| Name or address mismatch | The company name or address entered does not match the register | Align legal name and address with your Kbis / INSEE record (points 2 and 3) |
| Limit exceeded | The amount exceeds the credit Billie currently grants you, outstanding Billie invoices included | Reduce the basket, settle your outstanding Billie invoices, or split the order |
| Not enough data | Company too young, with no declared employee or no usable history | The option is only offered to companies with declared employees (point 4); file your accounts and only submit a new request once your situation has really changed |
| Risk policy | Credit score currently insufficient | A spotless payment record, with your suppliers and with Billie, then a new request on a later order |
If you are declined, do not retry Billie on the same order. A decline is a credit decision on your company at that moment: retrying, or changing the address to retry, does not improve your odds and may be read by Billie as suspicious behaviour — this is Billie's own guidance, passed on by Stripe. Complete your order by bank transfer, card or LCD-Phone wallet, then fix what needs fixing on your account (legal name, identifiers, address) before offering Billie again on a later order. To spare you a pointless second attempt, the option is withdrawn from your payment page for 30 days after a decline.
Growing your limit
- Pay on the due date. The direct debit takes place on the date shown: make sure the account is funded. A rejected debit triggers reminders and late fees, and weighs on your next requests.
- Start reasonably. A few moderate orders paid on time build your history with Billie; the limit follows.
- Be regular. A customer who orders and pays regularly is rated better than an occasional one.
- Pay early when you can. You can settle a Billie invoice before its due date from your buyer portal, which frees up limit for your next order.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
Billie charges the buyer nothing. LCD-Phone applies a deferred-payment fee of 3.5% of the order total incl. VAT + €0.30 (excl. VAT), displayed before you confirm: it is exactly what the service costs us, passed on at cost.
When am I debited?
On the due date shown in Billie's e-mail, 30 days after the order, by SEPA direct debit on the IBAN you provided. Billie reminds you of the due date a few days before.
Where are my invoices?
Billie's summary and the status of each due date are in your Billie buyer portal (link received by e-mail). Your LCD-Phone invoice remains available in your account, as usual.
Can I change my IBAN or pay earlier?
Yes, from the Billie buyer portal.
I do not see the "Pay in 30 days" option at checkout.
Your company profile is incomplete (no VAT or SIRET number, no company name on the billing address), or your company is not recognised in the register (wrong number, company struck off). Complete "Your account → Information" and try again: all these fields can be edited and your number is checked against the national register when you save. Three other cases: your company declares no employee in the national register — Billie declines this profile, so we do not offer the option; your billing address or your company's registered office is overseas — Billie does not cover the French overseas territories yet; or Billie declined a request less than 30 days ago, and the option is withdrawn for that period. If the option is still missing, our chat can check with you.
In short
A complete company profile in "Your account → Information" (Company, Siret, VAT, Kbis), a company that declares employees, a billing address identical to the register, the company's IBAN, a validated mandate, and Billie invoices paid on time. Do these checks once: they apply to all your future orders.
