Grade A, AB, B or D? Understand the cosmetic condition of a used or reconditioned smartphone to buy right, according to your budget.

Used smartphones are classified by grade according to their overall condition. The grade affects the price: it describes the cosmetic aspect (screen and frame), while full functionality is guaranteed. Here are our four grades:

A
Very good cosmetic condition. No or very few visible scratches or marks on the screen and frame.
Exemple Grade A
AB
Good cosmetic condition. Small scratches or marks, usually due to normal wear.
Exemple Grade AB
B
Fair condition. May show scratches on the screen and/or frame.
Exemple Grade B
D
Fair condition. Shows scratches, and may have a light spot or a red shadow on the screen.
Exemple Grade D
